Ryan a junior with Agricultural Economics major worked with Producers Coop Elevator in the summer of 2012. He quotes, the internship was very interesting experience as he has been involved in raising cattle but this was the first opportunity for him to get a deeper understanding of raising crops. Ryan got the opportunity to work with various departments within the company, some of the areas he touched were

• Wheat Harvest : The whole life cycle of harvesting and retrieving the grain
• Grain Markets : Shadowed the general manager of the company to sell the grains
• Farm Store : A big part of this task was to deal with the chemical inventory
• Fuel Station : worked with fuel bids and analyze the competitors
• COOP meetings : Ryan got an opportunity to be a part of the COOP meeting
• Administrative procedures : Worked with the CFO of the company and learned more about the financials involved in the business
